Coimbatore DistrictA schoolboy has finished his treatment for blood cancer and is back in his own classroom. The treatment is over. The recovery is not: he still carries what the illness did to his body and to his mind, and what keeps him going is the school he knows and the friends who waited for him there.
It is easy to ask why the family does not move him to a government school, where education is free. For a child coming out of cancer, that means losing his friends at the very moment he leans on them most, and starting again among strangers.
His family is still paying off the hospital. They can keep him in this school. What they need is a push for one year while they clear that debt.
What Alorah is raising for
₹40,000 for one year in school: ₹35,000 in school fees and ₹5,000 for his uniform, books and bag. The fees are paid directly to the school against its fee bill, and the receipt comes from the school. The uniform, books and bag are bought and handed over with the shop's receipt. Nothing is handed over in cash.
₹40,000 does not clear the family's hospital debt. It takes one year of school off them while they do.

How we reach donors
Up to 20% of what a need raises may be spent on advertising it on Facebook, Instagram and Google, so it reaches enough people in time. Sharing it on WhatsApp costs nothing and keeps that share down.
Our promises to you
- No pressure to give. Every appeal leaves the choice with you.
- Paid where the need is. The money goes to the hospital, school or supplier against its own bill, never in cash to anyone.
- No calls asking for money. Nobody from the trust will ring you asking you to give.
- Nothing left idle. If a need is fully met, ends early, or the person we were helping passes away, what was not spent stays in the same cause fund and goes to the next person in that cause.
