Cause 02 of nine
Education and skills: scholarships, books and training
No child should stop learning because of what their family earns. Alorah Foundation funds school and college costs, buys books and devices, and pays for the vocational training that turns a qualification into work.
What Alorah Foundation does in this cause
- School and college fees for students whose families cannot meet them.
- Books, uniforms, bags and examination fees, the costs that quietly force a child out.
- Digital devices and data for students who cannot follow a class without them.
- Vocational and skill training, including tailoring, computing, driving and trades.
- Support that continues year on year rather than stopping after one term.
Who this reaches, and how we follow it
Education is the cause with the longest arc in our work. A single year of fees helps once; a decade of them changes what a family can expect. So an education commitment here is followed for as long as the student needs it, and the outcome is documented year after year, in the same way our funded projects are photographed for five years.
Every open need on alorah.org shows what is required, what has come in and what is still short, and funded projects are photographed before, after and for five years afterwards. Where a person’s dignity asks for privacy, the outcome is documented without photographs. See the live needs for what is open today.
If you need help
If a student in your family is about to drop out over money, apply for assistance. Tell us the institution, the amount and the deadline, and we will tell you honestly what we can do. Assistance is offered without discrimination of caste, creed, religion or gender, and the documents you send are held privately and never published.
